Ever since i was throwing up all last week ive
lost my appetite which stinks! i seriously loved the food so much when i
first got here and was eating so much but now i can hardly eat. ughhh
hopefully my appetite will come back. Last night a cita (appointment) with one of our
investigators who is progressing very well fell through and we were
super bumbed. We had a plan B with this 75 year old member named
hermano vento. We told him the day before we might pass by and maybe he
could introduce us to some of his neighbors. We thought for sure he
would have forgot about this but much to our surprise Vento was waiting
for us. Shirt Tie Boots Flashlight and ready to go. And it was
raining. He took us to this house on stilts that was litteraly in a
lake. My boots go up to my knees and still water got on. Haha and
right along side me was 4 foot 6 Hermano Vento trucking through the
sludge. He introduced us to a very humble family and they were very
receptive of everythimg. After on the way home Vento slipped in the mud
and roled. I was so scared but much to my suprise again he was just
laughing loving his time out with the missionaries. Im so greatful for
the members of the church who understand its through them we can hasten
the work of the Lord. I encourage all of you to look for ways to help
the Elders in your ward and go out and visit with them. Lessons where
members bear testimony are the lessons that change investigators lives.
We have been promised by elder Evans who heads the department of
missionary work in the church that the friends family and neighbors of
Member, recent converts, less actives, and investigators are the people
prepared to hear the gospel. Im so greatful for missionary work. I
know its the Lords work on Earth. Find ways to serve and share the
gospel. Its the best way you can spend your time. Much Love
Always,
Elder Smith
